Hello! My name is Julia Sircar, and I am the president of the Theta Xi chapter of Tri Delta at the University of Southern California. I am thrilled to be serving as the 2018-2019 collegiate chapter president of a group of truly brave, bold and kind women. Beyond their membership in Tri Delta, our members are deeply involved at USC and excel in academics, philanthropy, and sisterhood. We are proud to continuously have one of the highest GPA’s in the Greek community! Our members are involved in over 250 organizations on campus, and many of them hold leadership positions. Additionally, we support Tri Delta’s philanthropy on the local and national front, and are the Top Fundraising Collegiate Chapter in Southern California for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

I am ecstatic to be working with a wonderful group of officers this year to achieve our chapter’s goals while keeping in mind the vision of Tri Delta. As I briefly mentioned above, our members uphold our values through our work benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by hosting three main fundraising events each school year and participating in nationwide events such as the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer. Additionally, in 2014, Tri Delta chapters across the United States collectively pledged to raise $60 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 10 years. As of 2018, Tri Delta has reached over half of this goal in only three and a half years, and our chapter has been fortunate enough to contribute more than $150,000. We are very grateful to be promoting a cause that provides support to patients and their families while searching for a cure to childhood cancer. When we are not hosting our philanthropy events, our members actively participate in other philanthropies on campus.

Our chapter is committed to developing well-rounded members, and we are heavily involved both on campus and in the Greek community. We are proud to have members involved in organizations such as Panhellenic Council, the USC Equestrian Team, OWN It Women’s Summit, USC Women’s Water Polo, Viterbi and Keck Student Ambassadors, Troy Camp, USC Hillel, Camp Kesem, and many more! We also have several women pursuing internships throughout the semester and over the summer with companies such as KPMG, NBC Universal, Google, The Ronald McDonald House, and Cosmopolitan Magazine. Our members involvement outside of Tri Delta embodies their dedication to personal development, opportunity, and diversity.

I cannot express how thankful I am for my membership in Tri Delta, as it has provided me with so many opportunities for self-growth and building lifelong friendships. Once you are a Tri Delta, you are a Tri Delta for life, and I will steadfastly hold in my heart the memories I have made during my time as a collegiate member long after graduation.

Thank you for visiting our website! I hope you have enjoyed learning about our chapter!

Delta Love,

Julia Sircar
