Hello everyone, I'm Rachel Henry, and I currently serve as the Vice President of Membership Experience at Tri Delta. It brings me so much joy to lead this year's recruitment, and I'm even more thrilled about the prospect of meeting all of you!
If you've found your way to this page, you're likely considering going through recruitment. I want to acknowledge that this can be an overwhelming journey. However, please know that this process is designed to help you discover a community and a forever home within the Panhellenic community. Despite the long days, exhaustion, and occasional self-doubt that may come your way, remember to stay true to yourself. Our members are eager to get to know you, engage in conversations, and assist you in finding your forever home. Be sure to ask questions and embrace your authentic self.
Back in 2020, as a freshman, I embarked on my recruitment journey online. I had no previous exposure to the process, being a first-generation college student with no siblings. I had a friend at another school who had gone through it, but USC's process was different, which made me quite nervous. To be candid, my own recruitment experience was challenging. When I received a bid from Tri Delta, I was excited but unsure. I wanted to be a part of Tri Delta, yet I didn't experience that overwhelming certainty that people often talk about. However, I decided to give it a chance, and it undoubtedly was the best decision I've made in my college experience thus far.
As I joined during a time when everything was virtual, making friends was a bit challenging. On a whim, I decided to move into our house in my sophomore year with two women I had never met before. Those two individuals, along with many others in the house, eventually became some of my closest friends. It was during this time that I found the confidence in my decision to join the chapter, feeling embraced and supported by all the women in the house. Throughout my time in the chapter, I knew I wanted to make the most of all the exciting events and opportunities to meet people. I thoroughly enjoyed attending Sisterhood gatherings, social events, and academic activities, among many of the other amazing events put on. I also became involved in leadership, starting as a Special Events Chair, then serving as Chapter President, and now concluding my senior year as VPME. Through it all, I can confidently say that being a part of the Panhellenic community has undeniably been the highlight of my college journey.
Tri Delta women are engaged in various remarkable pursuits on campus. They are intelligent, ambitious, and fun-loving. I am continually inspired by the kind-hearted spirit of the women in our chapter. Whether you envision yourself here or in another chapter, Tri Delta is here to assist you in finding your people.
You may find yourself in a situation similar to mine during recruitment, not entirely certain about your decision, or perhaps you'll feel the excitement and confidence of having found your home. Regardless of your experience, remember that everyone's journey is unique. Embrace your own path, trust your instincts, and always remain true to yourself.
If you have any further questions about the application process, please visit the USC Panhellenic site or don't hesitate to reach out to me at uscdddvpm@gmail.com. Sending you Delta Love for this recruitment season!
